Get the zip, right-click it and choose “Extract All”.

Point Soundcer at your sound folders. It indexes them in the background.

Questions, answered
Is Soundcer really offline?
Yes. It never connects to the internet. Your library, search and smart search all run on your computer.
Windows says “Windows protected your PC”. Is it safe?
That blue message appears for new apps that aren’t code-signed yet. Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”. Soundcer doesn’t need administrator rights and never goes online.
Does it work with Unity?
Yes. Drag a sound — or just a selected part of it — straight into Unity’s Project window, or set your Assets folder as the quick-export folder.
Is there a limit on sounds or folders?
No. Add as many as your drives hold.
Which formats are supported?
WAV (including BWF, 24/32-bit and RF64), AIFF, MP3, FLAC, OGG and M4A/AAC.
How do I update to a new version?
Download the new version and replace the old folder. Your library, favorites and settings are kept.
Is there a Mac version?
Not yet. Soundcer runs on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).
